Flights

We recommend flying into London Heathrow (LHR), which is the closest airport to Oxford and Ardington House.

If you are planning to attend the welcome party on Friday, plan to arrive no later than Friday morning.

Please remember you will need a valid passport if you are traveling from the US that does not expire until after the date you depart from the UK.

Travel to wedding events

We will be providing shuttles from the Malmaison Oxford hotel, the Courtyard Oxford Marriott City Centre, and the Courtyard Marriott Oxford South to the welcome party on Friday and wedding on Saturday. Depending on interest, we will also offer shuttles for the day after picnic on Sunday. You do NOT have to be staying in those hotels to use the shuttles - just indicate you would like a spot on your RSVP so we can make sure there are enough seats.

If you plan to take a taxi to any wedding event, we strongly encourage pre-booking your return journey. Many taxis will not come to the countryside late at night without a reservation, and rideshares will not be available in the rural location.

Car Hire

If you have a valid US drivers’ license, you can rent and drive a car in the UK. You just have to be ready to drive on the left side of the road!

Hiring a car allows for much more freedom of movement, and might be a good idea if you plan to stay for a few extra days to explore the English countryside. You might also consider this option if you plan to stay in a holiday rental like Airbnb.
